Dr. Lela Tsakadze is a dedicated medical professional with a passion for enhancing healthcare standards. Her impressive educational journey includes ongoing PhD candidacy at Tbilisi State Medical University, a management course at Bank of Georgia University, and graduation from the Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (FELTP) by US CDC-SCO. She also holds an MD in General Practice from State Medical Institute, Tbilisi, Georgia, and a residence course in Tuberculosis at the Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Dr. Tsakadze's extensive work experience includes the role of Director of Quality Control at Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital in Tbilisi, Georgia, a position she has held since March 2019. She is also a Lecturer of IPC Course at DTMU Nursing College and serves as a GEPHA trainer in the IPC program. Her prior roles include Chief Epidemiologist at Evex Medical Corporation, TB Doctor at the M/XDR-TB Department at the National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, and Doctor at the same center. Dr. Tsakadze's contributions to the field extend beyond her work experience. She is an active member of the National Coordination Council of AMR and has participated in IPC National Surveys in collaboration with CDC and ICAP assessment teams. She is a member of the National Coordination Group of CCM and the National IPC Technical Working Group (TWG). Her role as a TB Expert/Appraiser for the USAID Georgia TB Prevention Project further highlights her commitment to improving healthcare standards and patient well-being.
