
Dr. Kakhaber Chikhradze
Dr. Kakhaber Chikhradze is a highly qualified medical professional with extensive experience in clinical practice, health administration, and medical education.
Since 2026, Dr. Kakhaber Chikhradze has served as a Clinical Surveyor at the Healthcare Quality Assessment Accreditation Council, where he oversees clinical governance, patient safety, epidemiology, infection prevention and control, and clinical risk management within the accreditation processes of healthcare organizations.
Since 2023, he has gained experience working with international accreditation organizations in the healthcare field.
Dr. Chikhradze is a multidisciplinary physician and healthcare leader with more than 35 years of experience in clinical toxicology, emergency medicine, critical care, and health system management. He has served as the head of major emergency and disaster response services in Georgia, including the National Center of Disaster Medicine and Tbilisi Emergency Medical Service.
His career includes leading medical teams in high risk humanitarian and disaster missions in Georgia and abroad—such as the Pankisi Gorge operations, the Bam earthquake in Iran, the Pakistan earthquake response, and the 2008 Russia–Georgia war.
He is a co founder of the Georgian Society of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and has extensive experience in medical education and training leadership. He currently oversees training programs at American Hospital Tbilisi.
Kakhaber has received multiple national and international honors, including the Order of Honor, the Ministry of Internal Affairs medal for distinguished service, and a White House commendation for organizing medical support during President Bush’s visit to Tbilisi
He holds a state certificates in Nephrology, Emergency Medicine, Toxicology and Critical Care Medicine.
