Dr. Nino Gorgiladze

Dr. Nino Gorgiladze is a highly qualified healthcare management professional with extensive experience in healthcare governance, quality management, accreditation, and medical education.

Since 2025, Dr. Gorgiladze has served as a Governance Surveyor at the Healthcare Quality Accreditation Council, where she evaluates governance frameworks, quality management systems, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational performance within the external evaluation and accreditation processes of healthcare organizations.

Since 2023, she has gained experience working with international accreditation organizations in the healthcare field and has served as an accreditation surveyor conducting external quality management system audits in line with international standards. Her work has focused on governance and quality systems, including leadership accountability, policy implementation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Since 2022, she has held academic and executive leadership roles at Avicenna – Batumi Medical University. As Deputy Rector, she oversees core institutional functions, organizational performance, and strategic development, supporting the alignment of academic programs, governance processes, and quality assurance mechanisms with institutional priorities.

Since 2015, she has been actively engaged in teaching at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and, currently, at Avicenna - Batumi Medical University. As a Professor, she is involved in teaching, academic program development, and research supervision. She teaches courses in Health Policy and Economics, Leadership in Healthcare, Hospital Structure and Management, Public Health and Healthcare Management, Research Ethics, and Professional Responsibility.

Since 2011, she has led her own company operating in the healthcare sector. From 2011 to 2020, she held managerial positions in various healthcare organizations, developing extensive expertise in healthcare management, quality governance, and accreditation readiness. As a healthcare administrator and certified ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor, she contributed to quality management, organizational performance improvement, accreditation preparation, institutional effectiveness, and organizational development initiatives.

Since 2021, she has been Co-Founder of Meridian Maritime Training Centre LLC, and since 2025, she has also been Co-Founder of the N(N)LE International Platform of Open Science. As a Board Member, she contributes to strategic decision-making, governance oversight, and organizational development.

Her academic background combines clinical, management, and public administration disciplines. She holds a Doctor of Public Administration degree from Grigol Robakidze University. Her doctoral research focused on the Regulatory Role of the State in High-Quality Healthcare. She also holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DDM) degree from David Agmashenebeli University of Georgia, a state license in Therapeutic Stomatology, and professional training in Business Administration.

Since 2024, Dr. Gorgiladze has been a member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care. She is actively engaged in scientific research in healthcare administration and health systems, with research interests including healthcare governance and accreditation, health policy and health system regulation, quality management and patient safety.
