The HQACI Governing Board approved evidence-based international accreditation programmes aligned with HQACI standards and international best practices, aimed at improving healthcare quality and patient safety.
The accreditation standards development process was based on stakeholder involvement, external expert consultation, and an evidence-based approach. As part of this process, HQACI worked in close cooperation with experts from the Union of Georgian Medical Associations (UGMA), incorporating UGMA’s extensive experience in healthcare quality assessment and the evaluation of clinical organization standards.
