Nino Dekanoidze

Ms. Nino Dekanoidze is a highly qualified manager and expert whose professional career is primarily focused on the development and implementation of accreditation systems, institutional standards, and quality assurance mechanisms. She has extensive experience in administering expert evaluation processes, as well as in designing, regulating, and managing governance systems and institutional oversight frameworks.

Since 2026 she has served as the General Director of the Healthcare Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council, where she leads the development of healthcare quality standards, defines accreditation criteria, supervises conformity assessment procedures and implements monitoring mechanisms across the healthcare sector.

Keso Gulua

Ms. Keso Gulua is an experienced administrative professional with a strong background in

institutional management, organizational coordination, and quality standards implementation. Her

professional career reflects consistent growth within both public and private sector institutions, with

a focus on administrative governance and operational efficiency.

From 2017 to 2021  she worked in a public institution, initially serving as Assistant to the

Chairperson and later being promoted to the position of Senior Specialist. During this period she

gained substantial experience in administrative coordination, documentation management, and

internal organizational processes.

Teimuraz Tchikhoria

Since 2026 Mr. Teimuraz Tchikhoria has served as Quality Manager at the Healthcare Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council, where he oversees quality control processes, ensures compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements, conducts internal audits, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high service and operational performance.

Since 2025 he has also held the position of Company Director at Gentamed LTD, leading strategic initiatives and managing interdisciplinary projects.

Mamuka Nakashidze

Dr. Mamuka Nakashidze is a highly qualified surgeon and Doctor of Medical Sciences, with extensive clinical and managerial experience.

He began his professional career at Batumi No. 1 Hospital, in the Department of Surgery. In subsequent years, Dr. Nakashidze practiced as a surgeon at Batumi Clinical Hospital and the Regional Oncology Center.He headed the Health Care and Social Welfare Service of the Batumi City Municipality and later served as Minister of Labor, Health, and Social Protection of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.Dr. Nakashidze led the Western Georgia Regional Center for Dialysis and Nephrology, holding managerial and director-level positions.He also worked at the Maritime Medical Center “Sagittarius” as Clinical Director and Quality Manager.

Dr. Lasha Gogokhia is an accomplished professional with a distinguished career in the healthcare and insurance sectors. His journey in the field began in 1995 when he completed his Medical Doctor degree at State Medical University in Tbilisi. Afterward, he embarked on a journey of continuous learning and professional development, which included a Certificate in Interventional Cardiology from the University Hospital in Basel in 2000. He further honed his expertise with Certificates in Healthcare Management in 2007 and Health Claims Management in 2013. Dr. Gogokhia’s career is characterized by a remarkable diversity of roles and responsibilities. He has served in various senior management positions in reputable institutions. His roles have encompassed both the medical and insurance domains. In addition, she has contributed as a consultant and educator, supporting healthcare projects and organizational development. Fluent in Georgian, Russian, and English, Dr. Nakaidze combines her international training, administrative expertise, and data-driven skills to advance healthcare systems with a strong focus on quality, patient safety, and organizational efficiency.

Dr. Marina Darakhvelidze is a dedicated medical professional with extensive experience in the clinical field, health administration, and the educational sector. She holds an MD degree from Tbilisi State Medical University and a state certificate in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her impressive educational journey also includes an ongoing PhD candidacy in Public Health at Ilia State University, along with master’s degrees in Law and English language and literature. Dr. Darakhvelidze’s extensive work experience includes the role of Head of the Healthcare Department at the Ministry of IDPsOT, Labour, Health, and Social Affairs of Georgia. She has held various senior management positions in the Quality Control Service of the State Regulatory Agency for Medical Activities. Dr. Lela Tsakadze is a dedicated medical professional with a passion for enhancing healthcare standards. Giorgi Chkhartishvili

Dr. Giorgi Chkhartishvili is an experienced physician who has worked in emergency medicine, maritime medicine, environmental medicine, and public health for over 30 years.
He began his professional career in 1991 in the ICU/Anesthesiology department at Central Hospital in Batumi as a physician, following to graduation from Tbilisi State Medical University with a master’s degree.
In the following years, he was appointed head of the ICU/Anesthesiology department at the Municipality Hospital of Batumi. He was also the Head of the Department of Health and Social Services of Batumi Municipality and Deputy Minister of Health and Social Affairs for the Ministry of the Republic of Adjara.
Since 2006, Dr. Chkhartishvili has worked as a ship’s medical officer on Royal Caribbean cruise ships, marking a new endeavor in maritime/cruise medicine. He has led medical programs on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Azamara cruise ships, helping to strengthen operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and global healthcare standards of care. His experience has given him a robust understanding of healthcare systems, quality assurance, and cross-functional consulting.
