Development Process

Standards are developed through a defined lifecycle that includes:

  1. 1Needs identification and evidence review
  2. 2Benchmarking against international frameworks
  3. 3Draft development by technical experts
  4. 4Stakeholder consultation
  5. 5Independent expert and technical review
  6. 6Formal approval by the Standards Development Committee
  7. 7Pilot testing or field validation where applicable

Evidence-Informed Approach

Standards incorporate international accreditation frameworks, WHO and ISQua guidance, regulatory requirements, scientific literature, patient safety data, and expert consensus.

Review Cycle

Standards are reviewed at intervals not exceeding five years, or earlier where triggered by regulatory changes, emerging risks, new evidence, or stakeholder feedback.
