Purpose

The HQACI Pilot International Assessment Programme (PIAP) is established to support the international implementation, testing, and validation of HQACI Standards through independent external assessment of healthcare organisations.

Participation Model — HQACI Responsibilities

HQACI shall provide:

Participating Healthcare Organisation Responsibilities

The participating healthcare organisation shall provide:

  • Formal participation consent
  • Access to required documents
  • Access to leadership and relevant personnel
  • Access to clinical and operational care areas
  • Data confidentiality agreement

Deliverables

Each participating healthcare organisation will receive:

  • Gap Analysis Report
  • Quality Improvement Roadmap
  • Corrective Action Recommendations
  • Final Assessment Outcome Decision

Assessment Outcome — Option 1: HQACI Accreditation

Where the organisation successfully meets HQACI accreditation requirements and accreditation is permissible under applicable legal/regulatory frameworks, the organisation shall be awarded:

  • HQACI Accreditation Certificate

Assessment Outcome — Option 2: HQACI Recognition Award

Where formal accreditation is not pursued, not permissible under local regulatory conditions, or where the organisation participates for benchmarking / quality improvement purposes, the organisation shall be awarded:

  • HQACI Recognition Certificate

Certification programs focus on specific service lines and may run alongside or independently of accreditation.
