The HQACI Pilot International Assessment Programme (PIAP) is established to support the international implementation, testing, and validation of HQACI Standards through independent external assessment of healthcare organisations.

Participation Model — HQACI Responsibilities
HQACI shall provide:

Participating Healthcare Organisation Responsibilities
The participating healthcare organisation shall provide:
- Formal participation consent
- Access to required documents
- Access to leadership and relevant personnel
- Access to clinical and operational care areas
- Data confidentiality agreement
Deliverables
Each participating healthcare organisation will receive:
- Gap Analysis Report
- Quality Improvement Roadmap
- Corrective Action Recommendations
- Final Assessment Outcome Decision
Assessment Outcome — Option 1: HQACI Accreditation
Where the organisation successfully meets HQACI accreditation requirements and accreditation is permissible under applicable legal/regulatory frameworks, the organisation shall be awarded:
- HQACI Accreditation Certificate
Assessment Outcome — Option 2: HQACI Recognition Award
Where formal accreditation is not pursued, not permissible under local regulatory conditions, or where the organisation participates for benchmarking / quality improvement purposes, the organisation shall be awarded:
- HQACI Recognition Certificate
